Hand Drafting, Adolf Hitler and the Fascist State of California

One of the really good things about drafting by hand is that while you are doing things by hand that the computer does automatically if you are pointing and clicking, is that your mind as you Poche or draft project unique North arrows and section line pointers is that your brain processes ideas and factoids that are rattling around in there. This is one reason that buildings drawn by hand are different than those by point and click. the slower speed engages your brain differently. Point and click won’t allow that.

This week I was designing a floorplan for my Edison burn down house. The slow pace allowed me to resolve issues and find by accident, not effort, a floorplan solution. Also, though other thoughts go rolling across the old gray matter.

As I was dimensioning a floorplan (something automatic in drafting programs) An old quote by of all people Adolf Hitler floated across my mind. “Fascism is the right wing of the socialist movement. Communists are the left wing of our movement.” This has very very often been misquoted to say “fascism is right wing and Communism is Left wing.” That wasn’t actually what Herr Hitler was saying. He was saying that Fascism and Communism are EACH left wing and part of the left-wing socialist movement, but because fascism combined corporatism with the State and overt oligarchy as a part of governance as opposed to covert oligarchy (like Communist China) Hitler was claiming it was MORE right wing, almost centrist.

Fascism, is mostly misunderstood in America because it has been identified with Hitlers “final Solution” and the genociding of anyone Hitler thought was his lesser according to some Whack Ass ideas he had. Fascism need not be genocidal. Indeed, Mussolini had no interest in killing Jews or others, until eventually he became a client state of Hitler and then only halfheartedly. What Mussolini was about was welding the corporations and the state together into one inseparable unit. a unit where the corporation is a tool of the State and the State protects the corporation from the CITIZENS, not of course the citizens from the corporation.

Californians generally, and California Democrats specifically, would insist California is not a fascist state. They would be wrong.

A few Years ago Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) burned the working-class town of Paradise California to the ground. In the process they killed a few dozen citizens. There were lawsuits. PG&E threatened to go Bankrupt and leave the northern half of the state without electrical power if they and their shareholders were not protected from the results of their gross criminal negligence. The State of California Legislature in it’s endless quest to lick more lovingly the backside of the corporatocracy, passed a series of laws protecting public utilities. One of these exempted the little darlings from the kind of liability faced by any corporation for negligence if a newly created state agency certified them as a “prudent utility” on a yearly basis.

As you may have noticed, Edison since it burned down over 40% of Altadena and murdered 17 of my fellow citizens keeps saying it is a “prudent utility”. The first couple of times I was found screaming: THE UNMITIGATED GALL of these A Holes.” I didn’t understand that those virtuous ever vigilant Democrats in the California State Legislature had invented this phrase as a “get out of jail free” card. That is indeed what they did. They set up a commission and every year the commission dutifully certifies the public utilities as “Prudent Utilities” more or less regardless of reality.

I don’t know who the corrupt little tarts are who are on this commission, but I’m going to find out and I’m going to find out how exactly they were bribed. Bribed the little rats must have been. Last December, three weeks before the Eaton Fire the commission certified Southern California Edison as a “Prudent Utility”. They did this with the utility having THOUSANDS of unmet work orders for maintenance on their equipment. There were TWENTY EIGHT work orders on the three towers that were the ignition point for the Eaton fire. TWENTY EIGHT. Three of those issues were directly responsible for the destruction of Altadena.

No one at Edison, because of the laws written by the Democrats in the California Legislature and signed by Gavin Newsom can be as you would be if you were in business and your unmaintained equipment killed one let alone seventeen people, charged with manslaughter. The Board of Edison and it’s mismanagement are safe.

Edison’s shareholders will not suffer loss. The Bank accounts of Edison will not be drained. The state will bail them and their insurance companies out. Then because they have a deal with the corrupt Public Utilities Commission, they will pass the cost onto the rate payers and get a guaranteed 10% profit on top of the cost. Thats right, murdering your fellow citizens and burning down your community is a profit center for Edison.

This kind of situation is not passible in a Monarchy, a Republic, or even a communist State. Each of those fears the uprising of the people and their delegitimization. fascists, have no such fear because fascists brainwash better than anyone else. They create a total inescapable intellectual ecology. The German People unlike the Russian people, never even as Germany fell apart around them, rebelled. They were held, just like Californians, deep in the matrix.

Go do something by hand. Get your mind right. This fascist State of California is not acceptable.
